We keep the crate in a corner and the bowls are in the corner touching the walls so that our son can t reach.
I have 2 cats 3 when my son was a baby that are indoor kitties we made our garage into their outside put the litter out there and food and water as well. My toddler is obsessed with our dogs water bowl and im terrifid that she may slip and fall into it and drown. A young child can actually drown in a shallow bowl of water especially if she slips and falls face first into the bowl or aspirates some water into her lungs.
